Obba Babatunde has been nominated for an L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award for his role as Sergeant Waters in “A Soldier’s Play,” performed at the Malibu Stage Company last fall. Babatunde won the best actor award at the 21st Annual NAACP Theatre Awards for his performance in the same role Aug. 29.
The awards ceremony takes place at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles Nov. 14.
