Last week the Little School on the Point celebrated graduating seven eighth graders and promoting one fifth grader. LSP was created in 2002 as a home school. In 2005 it became part of Blue Mountain Charter.

The premise of the school has been to provide a unique educational opportunity for a small number of very self-motivated children. The small class size and talented educators has allowed the students to excel at their own pace.

This focused experience has led to educational options not normally available in public school. World history, current events and cultural studies have been embraced by trips to Italy, Germany, France, England and Washington, D.C.

The graduates have made their choices for which high school they will attend next year. Three will be attending Malibu High, three have been accepted at Louisville and one will be going to Oaks Christian.
