    The following is addressed to the Malibu Bay Company. If you’re truly committed to the progress and preservation of Malibu’s unique character, please consider the following alternatives to your proposed Development Agreement.

    Instead of donating the Point Dume land valued at $16 million that can only accommodate two ball fields and a community center, donate or sell to the city, the land west of Trancas Canyon Road on Trancas Field, valued at less than $1,250,000. That land can accommodate more playing fields to meet current city needs and still have areas for a community center, parks and open space.

    Instead of dedicating 25 acres of unbuildable land as permanent private open space, donate the Trancas Riders and Ropers parcel and cut back dramatically on your dense plans for the expansion of the Trancas Commercial Center.
