Our Lady of Malibu School students invited friends and family to this year’s science fair, with projects covering a wide range of phenomena: from the senses (“What does your nose know?”) to germs (“The 5 second rule: Can we trust it?”) and much more.
The fair, held each year in March, is a way for OLM students to get hands-on experience studying the science they learn about in class.
Luke Busey with his project, “Can people tell the difference between tap and bottled water?”
Grace Drobny, fifth grade, earns an honorable mention for her project, “How does music affect your heartrate?”
First place science fair winner Marshal Lazar, seventh grade, explored “Do cheap glasses protect you against ultraviolet light?”
OLM 8th grader Ivory Calabria with her first place project, “Do our minds perceive time?”
