The Malibu Optimist Club recently held its Respect for Law Week, chaired by Malibu Optimist Club member Sheldon Lodmer, to honor the various branches of the legal system. Participants included representatives from the District Attorney’s office, the Public Defender’s office, the Malibu Court and Pepperdine Law School. In honor of the week, Lodmer presented Dean Kenneth Starr with a donation to the Pepperdine Law School Moot Court Program. Jamie Garrison, head District Attorney for the Malibu branch, delivered the keynote address for the program, focusing on current local legal trends.
