The public portion of the Thursday, March 17, Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) Board of Education meeting will begin at 6 p.m. instead of its usual 5:30 p.m. start time.
The time change will allow the board additional time to address items during closed session, which begins at 4:30 p.m., without impacting the start time of open session, according to a press release from the SMMUSD.
The meeting will follow meeting format B and will take place in the Malibu City Council Chambers.
