With less than a week left to go before classes begin, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District has announced a new assistant principal in charge of Malibu Middle School.
Chris Regan, formerly an assistant principal at John Adams Middle School in Santa Monica, comes to Malibu with many years of experience in school leadership.
“Prior to joining SMMUSD, Mr. Regan served as the assistant principal of Agoura High School, the dean of Student Support at Alice C. Stelle Middle School, as the principal of Secondary Summer School for LVUSD, and as a Spanish teacher,” according to a district release.
While working at John Adams, he focused mainly on the special education program and helped decrease the achievement gap for special needs students.
Classes at all SMMUSD schools begin on Tuesday, August 19.Â
