Local Ben Babylon, son of the late Guy Babylon, is scheduled to perform at the Zuma Music Festival July 2. The talented 13-year-old writes all his own music and began studying music when he was five, now playing the keyboard, piano, guitar, ukulele and drums.

“I am excited to be playing at the Zuma Music Festival,” Babylon said. “I’m looking forward to hearing the other musicians on the lineup, and it’s for a great cause.”

The event will raise funds for the Malibu United Methodist Church’s youth group, which aids families on a Native American reservation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

The Zuma Music Festival will take place July 2, in the courtyard at Malibu United Methodist Church, 30128 Morning View Dr., from 3 p.m-9 p.m., $2 per person or $5 per family. More information can be obtained by calling 310.457.7505.
