need great
In response to the two silly letters of Jane “Not in My Backyard” Butler and Eva “Green Harbors” Wilson. I would suggest that they both take the time to read the environmental impact report required by the government in order to complete this (LNG) project.
Their assumptions are that no project can be completed and be environmentally sound or acceptable. I repeat that this project is 13.8 miles off the coast directly across from Neptune’s Net in Ventura County. There is no daily risk. Get it?
Since the first LGN terminal was originated in 1944 there have been six problems or events in the world since that time. These were all on land and were due to human error. We all care about our community, but we, as a society, need natural gas on a daily basis and this will supply Southern California Gas Company as well as new homes in the Valencia, Moorpark area. If something is of public benefit, it should be encouraged, not discouraged by paranoid silly emotion
Being embarrassed by European nations because they have declared their ports “Green Harbors” and we should do the same, is just dumb. Write a coherent letter and explain the difference between the proposed project and what the “second class” Europeans have required if you can.
