The California Coastal Commission will meet on August 9-11 at 9 a.m. in the Auditorium at King Gillette Ranch, 26800 Mulholland Highway Calabasas, CA 91302.
The California Coastal Commission is a group of 12 voting commissioners composed of locally elected officials and commissioners appointed by the public. They manage the use of water and land in coastal zones throughout California in cooperation with coastal counties. The coastal commission protects California’s coast by regulating the development of buildings, divisions of land, and impactful activities on land or water.
The commission holds monthly public meetings along the coast. The meetings allow for the coastal commissioners to plan and make policy decisions along with public participation. Members of the public are encouraged to attend hearings and participate by making their views known to the commission prior to the meeting.
The California Coastal Commission will be discussing many coastal programs, permits, and reports, including a Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Report. For the full agenda and more information, visit coastal.ca.gov.
