In regards to your article on the name of the “new” Pt. Dume school, as an alumnus from Cabrillo, I am fine with the fact that Cabrillo is no more and that the Pt. Dume school has a new name—or keeps the old one. My friends that went to Cabrillo seem to be fine with the change, too. We had a great experience, but it is time to move forward and make our elementary, middle school (junior high, when I went there) and high schools the best they can be.
As to what the name of the new school should be, well, I’ve got more important things to do and and I’m fine if the kids pick the name.
