In response to the guest column written by Pam Linn from the March 10 edition, “Alternative reality to a Trump White House,” I am a Canadian who married a Nebraskan and has lived in the U.S. for over 50 years, so I enjoyed your story of Mr. Calabrese’s persuasive invitation to Americans to emigrate to the joys of Cape Breton.
I have loved the love of freedom and an open door to the millions that built the United States, but so many divisions have surfaced in this election campaign and big money seems to have taken over. Let’s not allow a bombastic, wealthy TV star to represent America to the world and lets get back to our small-town roots where everyone has a voice.
