The 6th annual Chumash Day took place at Bluffs Park in Malibu on not one, but two days this weekend. The event brought together Chumash and intertribal dancers for a powwow that included native foods, Native American arts and crafts, music, story telling and more.
The event marked its first powwow, in addition to the regular gathering, which included dancers from numerous tribes. Native American actor Saginaw Grant served as Head Gourd Dancer in a special appearance.
