The older divisions of the Malibu American Youth Soccer Organization ended their season last weekend. The girls’ team in the age 16 and under division and the boys’ team in the age 19 and under division advanced to the league semifinals and the quarterfinals.
“The success at this level was the result of years of positive development when our players were younger,” Regional Commissioner Rick Erickson said in a recent press release.
The girls on the under 16 division team suffered many illnesses this season, and had to play without five of their key players the past couple of weekends. Still, the team fought hard to win one game in post-game penalty kicks. More information can be obtained at www.malibuayso.org.
