The Malibu High School girls’ water polo team won its game against Cate School on senior night last Wednesday, 23-2. It was the last regular season home game for seniors (pictured from left) Brita Kiefer, Searra Silverberg and Katie Rollins, all of whom scored in the game led by Silverberg’s five goals. “This year is our best shot at winning CIF in my four years,” Silverberg, Malibu team captain, said. “The game against Cate School showed us how good we can be.”
Along with their latest victory, the Sharks remain undefeated and won the league title. They are currently ranked second in the CIF-SS Division VI rankings, and begin playoffs on Thursday at Malibu High School (their opponent has not yet been announced).
