The following incidents were reported between 11/23 – 2/2:

 

11/23

Closet criminal

Miscellaneous belts, handbags, scarves, jewelry and clothing worth around $25,000 were stolen from the closet of a woman living on Zumirez Drive.

Park pinch

A door lock was broken and $200 cash was stolen from a car parked at Charmlee Park. A charge card was taken but the transaction was denied when suspects attempted to use it.

Guest vexed

A glass door was chipped at a hotel on PCH after a disgruntled customer left a threatening voicemail. A rock was found near the door.

Box broken

A mailbox lock was broken and mail was removed outside a home on Latigo Canyon Road.

Double trouble

Two cars belonging to friends were broken into while parked at Leo Carrillo State Beach. A backpack and smart phone were stolen from each vehicle together with other various belongings.

Bad trip

A travel bag, MacBook Pro computer, Canon 5D camera and two passports were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Civic Center — its owner was visiting from the United Kingdom.

Triple threat

An employee at a business on Cross Creek witnessed three simultaneous break-ins including theft from one vehicle of a Gucci travel bag, iPhone 6 Plus and Cartier sunglasses. Three suspects fled together.

Personal problem

A padlock, two mugs and a chair were broken in a shed-turned-illegal rental on Sea Breeze Drive. A civil dispute between the landlord and tenants is suspected.

Archer offense

A sport bag containing a bow & arrows, bags of clothes to give away and women’s boots were stolen from a car parked on PCH after its window was smashed.

Card crime

A wallet, $190 cash and an iPhone were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on PCH near the Malibu Lagoon. The victim’s credit card was charged for about $3,000 at a business in Westlake Village.
