Members of Malibu Optimist Club recently responded to the call for help from officials at the Los Angeles County Probation Camp Miller in Malibu. Suffering from the recent state budget cuts, the facility found itself without any sports equipment for its physical education program, comprised of 100 young residents. The Malibu Optimist Club purchased $500 worth of soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs and basketballs along with three chess sets as a Christmas gift to the facility and its residents.
