Malibu resident Dax Andrus has been granted admission to the California State Summer School for the Arts and, upon graduation from the program this summer, will be named a California Arts Scholar. Andrus will study music instrumental at one of the most prestigious summer high school arts programs in the country. Through a rigorous application process, 600 students were chosen from 1,278 applications.
Alumni of the program include actors Zac Efron and James Franco, among others.
