Gasoline and cell phone angst

In the last month, we have seen gasoline prices as low as $1.31 and as high as $1.57 per gallon. From day to day: $1.31; $1.33; $1.31; $1.37; $1.39; $1.41; $1.45; $1.47; $1.51; $1.55; to an all-time high of $1.57. What the price will be tomorrow or next month, only time will tell.

When driving, all instructors say two hands on the wheel, both eyes on the road and ears alert for other vehicle sounds, etc. How can one do all these things when one hand and one ear are on a cell phone? When I was in the market the other day, a lady bumped into my cart. She was on a cell phone. The same day, a man’s cart was blocking the aisle, and I could not get by. I excused myself but he could not hear-he was on a cell phone!

Gas and cell phones. That is all I have to say.
