The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area contains more than 500 miles of hiking trails spread out among 23 parks.

“Nature’s Splendor,” an art exhibit and sale from local artists Linda Melber and Virginia Kamhl, will take place from Oct. 1-29 at the Anthony C. Beilenson Interagency Visitor Center at King Gillette Ranch. The artists tried their hands at capturing the beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains and sea shore. A portion of the sales will go directly toward funding the arts in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

The artists will be available for a meet-and-greet on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 1-3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is located at 26876 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. For more information, email samo@wnpa.org or call 805.270.2303.
