Winning waves


Pepperdine University placed third at the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championship in Long Beach last week. The university’s swim and dive Coach Nick Rodionoff was named PCSC Coach of the Year, and the champions included swimmer Rachel Cote (pictured), 100-meter backstroke; Amanda Pond, 3-meter diving; and Tiffany Martz, 1-meter diving. Pepperdine student athletes also achieved new school records: Dani Kimmel for the fastest 100-meter breaststroke; and Rachel Cote, Dani Kimmel, Franny Cyphers and Haley Wilson for the fastest 200-meter medley relay.
