Students at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, Malibu Middle School, Malibu High School and other schools throughout the school district participated in “Bike It! Walk It! Day” Oct. 7. The event encourages students to get to school by walking, biking or carpooling in order to reduce the use of cars, making the trip to school more friendly to the environment. The day was also observed to bring awareness to safety and traffic issues around schools.
