U.S. Rhythmic Gymnastics team member and Malibu local Natalie McGiffert won gold and silver medals at the 2015 Pan American Games, in Toronto, Canada.
The former Malibu High and Middle School student has competed in rhythmic gymnastics for more than 12 years. McGiffert was also chosen to become one of six girls to train for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
McGiffert’s gold medal was the first ever won by an American rhythmic gymnastics team at an international competition.
