Setting viable price


Just what kind of opinion piece was that, Mr. Wallace? You blame homeowners for poor home sales in Malibu. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought that the real estate agent determined the asking price. I thought they were the professionals with the training and experience to set viable market value.

There are many agents making sales right now. I sold my home for the asking price in four days in mid-2008. My agent evaluated the asking price with comps and trends. She told me specifically what I needed to do to make my home appealing to prospective buyers. There were foreclosures and short sales in the immediate area, but that did not affect the result.

Instead of foisting responsibility entirely on the homeowner, you should look to yourself.
