Temperatures To Cool Down This Weekend In Malibu

Fiesta Malibu, held annually at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, brings in not just students and their families, but people and organizations from all over the Malibu community. This year’s Fiesta is set for Sunday, May 4, at 11 a.m.

Forecasters predict that temperatures will start to cool down over the next few days, which sets the stage for great weather during the events in Malibu this weekend.

Friday expects sunny skies with temperatures in the low 70s throughout the day and a cool down to the low 60s at night with wind speeds reaching highs of 12 MPH.

Beginning Friday night, Malibu High School presents a musical version of Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein.” Based off of the film Young Frankenstein, the Friday showing begins at 7 p.m. and has a rating of PG-13 for adult content. To purchase tickets and see other show times, visit malibuhigh.org.

Temperatures will continue to cool down Saturday with sunny skies predicted. Expect the degrees to be in the high 60s then drop to the high 50s at night with wind speeds reaching 11 MPH.

At DIESEL, A Bookstore and Bank of Books, the first ever California Bookstore Day is being held, which brings light to the world of independent bookstores and what they offer to the community. Authors and publishers of many kinds of books will be in attendance along with many rare book related items available only at this event. 

Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday along with temperatures in the low 60s throughout the day and mid 50s in the evening. 

In the mood for a fiesta? Juan Cabrillo Elementary School presents Fiesta Malibu Sunday at 11 a.m. celebrating the children and the community. Kids of all ages will have something to do at this event with activities ranging from face painting to laser tag. Also included at the event will be live entertainment with possibly some VIP’s making an appearance. Different styles of food varying from Italian to Mexican delicacies is sure to peak anyone’s interest.Â
