Malibu High School’s Theatre Department launched a “Peace Fence” as part of their Erase Hate campaign. The idea of the fence is to tie a ribbon to show support for acceptance of all people and to put an end to hate crimes and bullying.
The Theatre Department created the fence to spread a message of tolerance to the MHS campus and the local community. The MHS fall play, opening Nov. 21, is “The Laramie Project,” which tells the story of Matthew Shepard, a gay man who was murdered in a hate crime in Laramie, Wyo. in 1998.
