Malibu Teen Film Festival Submission Deadline Friday

Teens in Malibu have until Friday, March 4 to submit artwork for consideration in this year’s Malibu Teen Film Festival, scheduled for April 29.

“The Malibu Teen Film Festival is an outlet for young talented filmmakers to share their passion for filmmaking with the Malibu community and network with other filmmakers, including professionals,” read a description provided by the City of Malibu.

Films must be appropriate for all ages. Submissions are accepted from students currently enrolled in grades six to 12, who attend school in Southern California. Films must be in English or have English subtitles and any music used must be properly licensed. Submissions are limited to 10 minutes.

The festival includes a screening of films and reception, with prizes for first, second and third place films and recognition for all filmmakers.

Interested teens may also attend a free film workshop on Saturday, March 5, at City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. RSVP online.
