The League of California Cities and the California City Management Foundation (CCMF) has profiled the City of Malibu as apart of the ongoing Strong Cities | Strong State campaign. The Strong Cities | Strong State campaign highlights local government success across the state, according to a CCMF statement.
“We are proud to be a part of the Strong Cities | Strong State campaign,” said Malibu Mayor Laura Rosenthal. “The City of Malibu is a community at the forefront of environmental and educational innovation. This campaign will serve as a valuable resource in furthering public knowledge of Malibu’s continuous achievements in environmental preservation and public health improvement.”
The goal of the campaign is to promote the results of city officials working to build a better California.
The profile on Malibu included the California Senator award of “First Sustainable City,” the Malibu library grand opening, and the design and development of three new city parks.
