Students at Under the Oaks Preschool added a hands-on component to their unit about animals that hatch from eggs when they hatched chicks in their classroom last week.
After the 10-hour hatching process, students got to hold and play with the newborn chicks with the help of faculty members. The chicks currently still reside in the classroom, but will soon be moved to a chicken coop outside where students will be able to watch them grow until the end of the school year.
