Rick Wallace, this is concerning your guest column for The Malibu Times, April 9. Standing on Point Dume, no matter which way you look, you can’t see the San Bernardino Mountains. Looking east on a clear day, you can see the Palos Verdes hills. Looking north, however, (not east), you can’t see over the Santa Monica Mountains, and even if you could, you would see the San Gabriel Mountains, not the San Bernardinos. But keep up the good work, Rick. Your Malibu factoids are interesting and would be even more so if you bought a compass.
