The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and United Firefighters of Los Angeles City (UFLAC) will partner to promote and support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, according to LAFD Media and Public Relations.

Firefighters in Malibu and throughout Los Angeles County will wear pink t-shirts while on duty October 8-10 to raise public awareness and to support those personally affected by breast cancer.

The pink LAFD t-shirts are available to the public and can be purchased by visiting lafdgoespink.com . The shirts are $20 and “All proceeds will benefit cancer related charities,” said Brian Humphrey, LAFD Public Service Officer.
