Malibu Middle School sixth-grader Kennan Hotchkiss, of the Malibu Seawolves swim team, won three gold medals at the 2013 Southern California Junior Olympics Championships.
The local swimmer took home the gold in the 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter freestyle and the 500-meter freestyle competitions. He also placed in the finals for the 200 individual medley and the 100-meter backstroke.
