Dogs Allowed On Outdoor Patios at Restaurants

Dog owners will soon be allowed to bring their pets to restaurants across California after Gov. Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 1965.

The bill was originally introduced in February, while eateries around Los Angeles had already began allowing furry friends per their own restaurant policies.

In the bill, dogs are only allowed in outside patio areas and cannot be indoors near any food preparation stations.

Restaurants can choose to allow dogs in their outside patio spaces. The bill solely eliminates the possibility of the state prohibiting animals from eateries.

The bill goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2015.
