Neon United, coached by Tim Silvestre, finished first in the boys U-12 division of Malibu AYSO and also won the Malibu AYSO Region 759 Tournament. Neon United won its semi-final game on Nov. 16, 4-3, and prevailed again on Nov. 17, winning 3-1 in overtime.
The team moves on to pool play against the top teams in the U-12 division from Agoura, Newbury Park, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and Moorpark in the Area 10e tournament scheduled for Dec. 7 and 8.
