The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District has committed to three public meetings that will aid in the writing of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Malibu Middle and High School Campus Improvement Project. The dates and times of these meetings have not yet been established.
In these meetings, we will learn the scope of the expansion and have the opportunity to voice our concerns about issues such as: traffic congestion and parking, athletic field usage and lights, noise and alarm systems, maintenance and clean-up of school grounds, upgrade of bathrooms-gym locker room showers, fire-resistant landscaping and the installation of fire safety equipment.
Hopefully, the input that is provided from the Malibu Park community will lead to modifications of the current proposed plan.
