In a different sort of rescue, the LA County Fire Department responded to a call regarding a 32-year-old horse falling into a narrow ravine at the Reagan Ranch area, near Cornell Road and Mulholland Highway, on April 14, according to the Malibu Search and Rescue (MSAR) team’s social media.

The call came in around 12:30 p.m.; around 2 p.m., personnel from the fire department were able to rescue the horse “using a firehose to guide the horse out.” The horse was then able to walk out of the narrow ravine

MSAR was notified to assist but the fire department was able to rescue the horse before they arrived.
