Last weekend, the Malibu High School Theatre Department presented its annual spring musical production, under the direction of Jodi Plaia. This year’s production was the Tony Award-winning “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”
The cast — which featured Isobel Anthony, Violet Finn, William Hammond, Dominic Rouse, Nancy Walecki, Taylor Mathews, Isabella Thatcher, Sophia Staedler, and Delaney Faherty — performed four shows in three days.
The musical follows the story of six mid-pubescents who are vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
