I would like to commend you on your article “Malibu High School Students Get a Dose of Reality” in last week’s paper. Hats off to Malibu High school psychology teacher Andy Meier for implementing the “Baby Think It Over” program where students take home a computerized baby to care for over the weekend. The aim apparently is to show students first hand how difficult it is to be a parent. They only change I would offer is this. Instead of the computerized babies which cost $449 each, they are welcome to use any one or all four of my small children. I love my kids dearly but I guarantee after a weekend with my four, any high schoolder will run screaming, the virtues of abstinence.
