Screenwriter, director and Pepperdine University adjunct professor Randall Wallace delivered the keynote speech at the 2011 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. Feb. 3. President Obama also spoke at the event. Wallace, who earned an Oscar nomination for his “Braveheart” screenplay, teaches students in Pepperdine’s Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Screen and Television Program. “It was both thrilling and humbling to share a podium with the president and to speak about prayer,” Wallace said. “The National Prayer Breakfast brings together people of different parties, creeds, faiths, and nations and unites them in the shared search for a connection with the divine.”
