While lunching with a non-Malibuite this week, I mentioned our City Council race and how one of the candidates was a Realtor. My lunch mate dropped her fork. “This is an obvious conflict of interest,” she said. “Duh.,” I replied. Isn’t there enough collusion between developers and the City without adding a Realtor to the Council, one might ask? By the way, would Ms. Taki keep her signs off our local trees (Busch and PCH). Nailing a tree is unprofessional.
