As a life long Democrat I felt embarrassed to belatedly discover that all 12 members of the much despised California Coastal Commission, including our own Sara Wan, are members of my party. All Democrats!
I didn’t discover this in The Malibu Times coverage over the past six months, although I might have missed an issue or two. No. I read this in the LA Times coverage of the Wan firing. I suspected many were but, egads, all 12? 100%?
I guess this proves what the GOP has said in the past. That a one party, all Democratic committee is an old socialist dream come true. And Wan’s “do as I say, not as I do” rulings came right out of that little book.
Welcome home, Sara! Now go sit in your corner and be quiet. Your extreme left wing elitist politics are embarrassing us moderates. Here’s hoping Governor Gray Davis (D) puts a Republican on the commission to replace you. I’m sure he won’t be so arrogant as to name another Democrat.
