[Update: 3:45 p.m.] Sheriffs confirm power has been restored to the area and all traffic signals are operational.
Traffic signals at the intersections of Heathercliff Rd and Pacific Coast Highway and Paradise Cove and Pacific Coast Highway were out Saturday afternoon due to a power outage in Western Malibu, according to LA County Sheriffs.
Authorities at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station report they have deputies on scene helping to direct traffic in the area.
“I know [Southern California] Edison was contacted,” Lt. Seetoo said, “I don’t know if they’re on their way yet.”
Southern California Edison has not updated its outage map to include the downed lines in Malibu, but according to alerts issued by the City of Malibu, lights are out along Winding Way.
“Wires down in the Winding Way area have caused a power outage in the Paradise Cove and Heathercliff Road areas of west Malibu,” the alert reads.
