Temperatures are expected to reach 72 degrees in Malibu this weekend, with only a few weeks left to celebrate summer by the beach.
Light fog will scatter the coast until 11 a.m. on Saturday and a 5 MPH wind is expected in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Similar weather patterns are expected for Sunday.
Malibu Mayor Skylar Peak will read “The Very Silly Mayor” for story time at 10:30 a.m. at Bank of Books on Saturday, Aug. 2. Later in the evening, the store will host “Coffeehouse,” with performances from local musicians, including Leslie and Bill Bixler, Max Gail and Kevin McNally. The event begins at 6 p.m.
