The Malibu High School Track & Field team recently celebrated the closing of another season under head coach John Cary. Outstanding performances from the boys team lead to California Interscholastic Federation qualifying places from Doug Bogie, named league MVP, Montrail Yates, Saadiq Hassan, Cooper Smart, Chris Konkol, Sam Haft and Cameron Lindsay. On the girls’ side, dominating performances included league MVP Erin Edenholm, Carolyn Pushaw, Alexis Hada, Harley Arce and Reign Brewer. The team extends special congratulations to the 4 x 100 boys team of Bogie, Haft, Konkol and Yates, who set a new school record. Track & Field honors were not limited to the athletes. Coach Cary received “Coach of the Year” honors from the league for the second consecutive year.
