In your paper dated Sept. 27, the front page article, “”Alternative Energy,” it states, “In the Central Valley, Sen. Kuehl said, more than half of the kids carry inhalers to school due to their asthma.” I don’t know if she just had bad info or a misquote, but I would like to know where she got those statistics. The worst areas of the central valley seem to be 1 in 6 children with asthma and more than half of all school absences (not children) are linked to asthma. Also it seems that a lot of it is due to high allergy/asthma causing plants.
