Very High Fire Conditions

A Red Flag Warning affecting Malibu and surrounding areas has been extended until Thursday, May 15, at 8 p.m.

Temperatures have been in the mid-90s in Malibu all week, with no cooling in sight until this weekend. Gusty winds combined with single-digit humidity readings caused the National Weather Service to issue the warning.

Dry conditions across Southern California have also sparked wild fires in parts of San Diego, Ventura County, Orange County and the San Fernando Valley.
