Kanan-Dume Road is now open after a dump truck crashed Wednesday into a power pole, according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station.
The driver of the truck was killed in the accident, after the truck, which was loaded with asphalt, hit two parked cars and collided with the power pole, before catching fire.
Workers for Southern California Edison have repaired the pole and restored power. Sheriff’s Department officials have not released the name of the driver, although the person is believed to be a local resident.
