Pepperdine Waves basketball is in their final week of play and saw new life instilled into the program. The Waves are having their best season in nearly a decade.
Thanks to the play of forwards Brendan Lane and Stacy Davis, the Waves have one of the best front courts in the WCC with a record of 15-14 with one game left to play.
Many attribute Coach Marty Wilson as a big reason for the program’s success. Major improvements on the offensive and defensive side of the ball have been prevalent since Wilson took over after the 2010-11 season. Â
Pepperdine hosts their final game at home against Santa Clara on Saturday (5pm) to close out the season.
Seniors Brendan Lane, Nikolas Skouen and Malte Kramer will be honored at the game while Fan Appreciation Night is on Saturday as well so all fans can get a general admission seat for free.Â
