Thousands of dollars were raised for Point Dume Marine Science school at a recent surf swap. More than 125 boards were sold, and more than 200 were on display. Ted Silverberg and Skylar Peak hosted the event to help Point Dume teachers. “It was incredibly well attended,” Silverberg said. “It was an amazing opportunity for kids to get boards that they might not have been able to have. There were boards ranging in price from $25 to $1500.” Silverberg said there are similar events in the works for the future, and he hopes to improve them every time.
