The City of Malibu is hosting a wide range of camps for kids of all ages this summer.

Children ages five to seven began ballet camp at City Hall on Monday. Ballet instructor Adrianna Fiori, who teaches ballet throughout the year for the City, said, “The overall plan for the class and camp is for the young dancers to have fun and to learn all aspects of dance: costume design, technique, music, styles of dance, etc.”

On Monday, the room was buzzing as little ballerinas learned how to make a tutu from the “Tutu Fairy,” costume designer Kandice Givol. It’s a full day, packed with fun activities. The children were thrilled as they twirled around in their hand crafted tutus. Fiori was pleased with the success of the first day. She said, “I had the best time getting to know all of the dancers. I think the smiles on their faces say it all! We had a great time learning and dancing together.”

The City’s classes are in session throughout July and August. Check out their schedule to find a fun activity for your child.
